In the words of American art curator Kenworth Moffett, “His work combines the virtuoso, fine brush, and hypersensitivity of Dalí with the vigor and utter freedom of Pollock. Technically dazzling, indeed mesmerizing, Ray’s paintings show a profound creative mind.”

Peter’s work, inspired by abstract expressionism, surrealism, and the dramatic interplay of Baroque light and color, evokes vast, immersive worlds, whether cosmic, underwater, or human biology. His art is not just visually captivating but emotionally resonant, offering a universal language of emotion and connection.

A former actor and writer, Peter turned to visual art as a form of self-expression and personal reinvention after emigrating from Bulgaria in 1992. Having played in multiple theater productions and published five books, his multidisciplinary background informs his unique artistic voice. His work intrigues audiences not only for its striking aesthetics but also for the profound storytelling within.

Peter is a Canadian artist and painter based in Montreal, Canada. He emigrated to Canada from Bulgaria, his country of birth, after graduating from the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy Theatre and Film Arts Studies in Sofia. His paintings have been showcased in over 40 solo and group exhibitions across Canada, the United States, France, and Bulgaria, earning him international recognition.
